More Romanian investments into Moldova and a company to expand the gas pipe from Ungheni to Chișinău. That’s the Moldovan Prime Minister’s wish that he voiced at an interview for the Romanian public television TVR.

"We want to believe an important company from Romania will participate in building the Ungheni – Chișinău gas pipe. The blue prints of this project will end by June and then we’ll start the pipe," said Pavel Filip.

Pavel Filip added the grid would be ready by later 2018, after the European Commission had decided to increase the project grant from EUR10 to 40 mn.

The Ungheni - Chișinău gas pipe has a length of 120 km and will pass through 25 localities in the districts of Ungheni, Nisporeni, Strășeni and Călărași.
