People of culture read fairy tales to Moldovan children. The authorities thus want to motivate parents to cultivate the love for reading to their kids, launching a program titled "Listen to my favorite fairy tale."
Each month, a personality is going to read out their favorite story to children. It was Culture Minister Monica Babuc who was the first to start reading at a Children’s Library from Chisinau.
"Dear parents, there is no better way of education than one’s own example and reading bed-time tales. It’s a matter verified in my childhood and verified on my daughter in her childhood, so you should read fairy tales to your children," she said.
Monica Babuc opines children read less because of technologies and busy parents.
