The Buiucani District Court has decided today, April 27th, to detain the 7 accused in the paid parking facilities case.

Thus, the deputy mayor of Chisinau City Hall, Nistor Grozavu has received 30 days of home arrest. The measure was requested by the prosecutor, the reason being the co-operation with the investigation, but also the testimony of the accused who revealed the criminal scheme and its beneficiaries.

Chief of Transport Department, Igor Gamreţki, received 30 days of arrest. The decision was taken by the magistrates of the Buiucani court.

The president of the Jewish community in Moldova, the millionaire Alexandru Pincevschi has received 25 days arrest.

Also, the municipal elected to be in charge of the paid parking facilities in Capital, Ghenadie Ivascenco has received 30 days of arrest.

According to NACC, at this stage of the prosecution, 7 people are arrested, and another 4 are being investigated.

Publika.MD recalls that the National Anti-corruption officers and Anticorruption Prosecutors have conducted searches in the house of the Deputy Mayor of Chisinau, Nistor Grozavu. The searches took place at the house of the head of the Transport Department, Igor Gamretki.

At the end of 2015, the City Hall has signed a contract with an Austrian company for the provision of paid parking facilities in Chisinau.

Recently, the National Anti-corruption Center has opened a criminal case on exceeded attributions when signing the contract. The company's management claimed that the agreement was perfectly legal.
