Dragoș Vicol is the new chief of the Audiovisual Broadcasting Council (CCA). His candidature has been voted today by other seven CCA members, after Dinu Ciocan had quitted.
He said he thus wanted to offer new people opportunity to manifest themselves.
The new chair has said he is surprised and the CCA has important things to promote, as safeguarding the country’s informational area.
"We must insist and make the law-makers confer a legal dimension to the notions of propaganda, manipulation, otherwise we won’t have tools to fight these very noxious scourges,” Dragoş Vicol said.
He has urged the civil society to get down from barricades and help the broadcasting authority with qualitative expertise and not to consider the CCA as a foe.
