Monument inaugurated to mark paramedics dead in chopper crash a year ago

A memorial has been inaugurated in the village of Haragâş, Cantemir district, today, where a paramedic helicopter had crashed a year ago killing the crew.
The SMURD chopper carried Romanian doctors. Priests from Moldova and Romania held services to the memory of the victims.
The event was attended by Premier Pavel Filip, Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan, Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ioniţă and the state secretary of the Romanian Interior Ministry, Raed Arafat.
The helicopter was heading to the southern city of Cahul to take over a patient.
