The Moldova telecom market contracted by 3.9 percent in the first quarter compared to a year earlier to MDL 1.569 billion, according to figures from the regulator ANRCETI.

Growth in fixed and especially mobile internet was offset by lower sales in other sectors, mainly fixed telephony.

The highest ARPU was also recorded for fixed and mobile internet.
