Health care reform: Draft law to be presented at Health Ministry

The draft law on health reform to be presented today, June 27th, to the Ministry of Health. Only 21 state hospitals to remain out of the total 60.
According to the document, only four central hospitals will serve up to a million inhabitants.
There will also be three institutions specialized in psychiatry, narcology and tuberculosis. Other 11 regional hospitals will be equipped with high-performance equipment for intensive care.
They will be specialized in internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics and gynecology. Each can serve up to 300,000 inhabitants.
The reform will be launched this year and will be implemented gradually by 2024.
