Local harvest starts off slow

The summer wheat harvest is in full swing. Farmers in the north of the country have already began harvesting. The harvest is collected early this year, due to drought.
The forecast is also that the harvest will be smaller than last year: 5.5 tonnes per hectare compared to 8 in 2016.
The farmers also fear the beet harvest will suffer because of the dry weather, while the Agriculture Ministry calls on them to undertake actions to prevent possible blazes on fields.
