The chief of the NATO office in Chisinau, Kristina Baleisyte has been accredited by authorities and has started the work, according to radiochisinau.md.

Previously, media said the opening of the office would be delayed due to reconstruction works. The opening is due this year.  

The Parliament ratified the NATO Liaison Office Agreement on December 9th, 2016. The Office will be a restricted diplomatic representation, with civil society.
