Violent fire at the largest deposit of branches in the capital Chisinau.

The piles of bunkers transported to the Republican Stadium after the heavy snowfall in April, got burned this night.

More than 80 firefighters with 17 truckers intervened on the spot to quench the flames. The fire was located after three hours.

As this has been the third fire so far, the capital authorities conducted an urgent meeting on this issue.

The fire broke out at around 4 o'clock. Totally, four outbreaks have been located.

"The fire affected approximately 40 per cent surface of stadium. Victims have not been registered", said the Fire Department Deputy Head, Alexei Lavrienco.

Until now, the cause of fire remains unknown.

According to the head of the Green Spaces Enterprise, Eliferii Haruţa, around 300 m³ of wood were deposited on the territory of the Republican Stadium.

Meteorologists exclude the fact that the fire started on its own due to the high temperatures of these days.

The capital center is now covered by dense clouds. Ecologists expect this effect on people suffering from diseases of the respiratory and cardiac system.
