An official from the Cahul Court, a former policeman and a lawyer, were detained by the NCA for influence peddling. 

They were detained by CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors yesterday afternoon.

They have received € 6,000 to act upon the Cahul Court of Appeal judges for receiving favorable decisions regarding the defendant, in order to keep the investigation on probation

The suspects were detained for 72 hours.

If they are found guilty, the suspects risk a prison sentence of up to 6 years or a fine of 200,000 lei.
