Today the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) completes a year of activity. Accordingly, PCCOCS prosecutors have handled over 2 300 criminal cases.

In addition, during the criminal prosecution, goods worth 65 456 211 lei were seized and returned to the injured parties.

Since 01.08.2016, PCCOCS prosecutors have sued 375 criminal cases against 692 people and 456 episodes. At the same time, there were sentences on 205 cases with 290 persons.

For the first time in the Republic of Moldova, the court allowed the provision application of Article 1061 of the Criminal Code - extended confiscation, following PCCOCS's request.

Likewise, during this period, the amount of 57 569 670 lei was returned to the state budget.
