Adrian Candu: Maia Sandu resembles the feminine version of Vlad Filat. (VIDEO)
At today's meeting, the Speaker of Parliament, Adrian Candu, spoke about the accusations brought to the Democratic Party in Moldova that came from the Dignity and Truth Platform's leadership regarding the violation of legislation on financing political parties and obtaining illegal donations.
Adrain Candu also took some moments to shed light on Maia Sandu's career and suggested that she take a look at her previous activity.
"Before making any allegations, Maia Sandu should go back to her previous qualities, to the functions she held and the activity she had previously done, and to wash herself from her own sins. Maia Sandu appeared in the electoral campaigns promoted by the Liberal Democratic Party, she became a deputy during those campaigns promoted by LDP who financed those activities and campaigns out of money stolen from Banca de Economii."
Also, The Speaker of Parliament mentioned in his speech Maia Sandu's cooperation with the fugitive politician Usatîi during several rallies.
"She should remember that her rally colleague Mr. Usatîi, the mayor of Bălţi shared with the public some documents that show that the Liberal Democratic Party, of which she was part, used the money from BEM for electoral campaigns as a result of which she became a deputy. She has to first wash away her own past sins. She should review all her mistakes, including the role she had in the Filat government who sometimes depleted the state budget through bank schemes and scams, from which she also benefited indirectly as a member of the PLDM team."
Adrian Candu also remembered Vlad Filat, who helped her become a minister and a deputy in parliament.
"More and more, Maia Sandu resembles a feminine version of Filat. I apologize, for making such a tough comparison, but I have a reason for that. At first there were hopes, after which came lies, speculations and disappointment and it is with regret that I see in Maia Sandu nothing but disappointment. If there is evidence of PDM's breaking the law, there's current legislation, there are investigative institutions and punishments to the matter, but first she has to ask herself what team she was involved in, how she became a deputy, how she became a minister and how much money embezzled from the banking system was used in that respect."
