The head of the Transport Department of the Capital, Igor Gamreţki, was sentenced to two years in prison with execution. The Chisinau Court handed the ruling down this morning.

 The official, accused in the pay parking lot file, said he would challenge the decision of the magistrates.

 Gamreţchi was convicted of organizing the rigged auction for selecting companies who would get permission to build pay parking facilities in Chisinau. Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu appear in the same file.
