A man was killed after his car was hit by a train.

The tragedy occurred on Wednesday evening, August 9, in Pervomaisc, Căușeni district, writes Today.md.

The 55-year-old man, originating from Costantinovca, was driving a Volkswagen Golf car when he was hit by the railway restoration train no. 8002 on the crossing of the village railroad.

The impact was quite violent and the man was pronounced to be dead on the scene.
