A 31-year-old woman was killed by her lover. The murder was committed in Medeleni village (Ungheni district) on Monday. 

After a quarrel, the man who was intoxicated hit the victim's head several times with a crowbar. 

The aggressor was detained and the investigators determined this was not his offence.

According to the police, the court previously issued an ordinance forbidding him to approach the woman.

If found guilty, the suspect is facing up to 15 years imprisonment.
