The information disseminated by the Moscow press about the possibility for Moldova to introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens is false.

The chairman of the Legal Commission in Parliament, Raisa Apolschii, and the Foreign Policy Committee, Violeta Ivanov, told Publika TV such an initiative was not registered in the Legislature.

Likewise, president Igor Dodon mentioned on Publika that this news was a rumor and a challenge, launched to strain the situation in Moldova. False information was circulated by the daily Izvestia, which quoted several experts.

According to them, with such decision, Chisinau wants to show its anti-Russian attitude and have to pay for that reaction.
