Andrian Candu: Dodon misconceives notion Army Supreme Commander
Igor Dodon abuses power the law offered to him and misunderstands the notion of "Supreme Commander of the Army."
It is the reaction made by Andrian Candu, President of the Parliament, after the head of state demanded the resignation of the Deputy Defense Minister, but also demotion for the 57 soldiers who went to a training course in Ukraine.
According to Candu, the military has to take part in any possible military exercises. Moreover, they are accomplished according to a plan approved a long time ago.
"President Dodon is abusing some of the tools the law offered to him and he misunderstands the notion of the Supreme Commander of the Army. At the next Security Council meeting I will insist including the abuses that President Dodon has in this area and the damages brought for security and army by not participating in military exercises, "Candu said.
"As far as Mr Dodon's statements are concerned, we will examine in detail what he has said to the law, we will assess compliance, draw conclusions and act accordingly.
"Failure to participate in military exercises no matter who and where they are organized assumes that our army remains unmanaged and ineffective and what kind of commander of the army, if you do not care about the army, "Candu said.
We mention that the Armed Forces have participated in the training in Ukraine since 1996, The training purpose is to strengthen defense capabilities and promote national image on the international areas.
