Police has identified and arrested a 43-year-old man from Capital, on suspicion of theft.

He was caught on surveillance cameras, from a supermarket on Ion Creangă Street, while taking goods off the shelves and leaving without paying.

His actions lasted for a month and according to economic agents, caused 1 700 lei damage.

On this case, officers opened a criminal file for theft and if found guilty the man risks a 13 to 27 thousand lei fine, 180 to 240 unpaid community services, or up to 4 years of imprisonment.
