They were recruiting socially vulnerable persons with disabilities and forced them to beg. It is about a 58 year old man and his 35 year old wife who were caught by the officers of the Center for Combating Human Trafficking.

According to the investigation, for a four months period, the suspects recruited two socially vulnerable persons with physical disabilities. The victims were forced to beg daily.

During a day, they were gathering around 400-500 lei each. Thus, the money were taken by the suspects.

The woman was preventive arrested for 30 days, while the man is investigated.

If found guilty, the suspects risk 15 years in prison.
