E5P Fund grants Moldova EUR 5 million for Public Building Energy Efficiency Project
Interim Mayor General of Chisinau, Silvia Radu, is on an official visit to London, UK, from 5 to 8 December 2017, attending the 7th Environmental Partnership Contributors' Meeting and Energy Efficiency in Eastern Europe (E5P).
The event is organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is held at the headquarters of the financial institution.
During her visit to London, Interim Mayor Silvia Radu signed the Grant Agreement within the Chisinau Public Building Energy Efficiency Project. The grant from the E5P Fund is EUR 5 million.
E5P is an EU fund, which supports local authorities' projects to improve energy efficiency and the environment.
We remind that the total value of the energy efficiency and thermal insulation project of public buildings in the municipality is EUR 25 million.
The EBRD and the EIB (European Investment Bank) offer a EUR 10 million loan. Chisinau also benefits from an investment grant of EUR 5 million from the E5P Fund
