Custom Post service launched "Stop Corruption! Integrity has priority!" campaign
Custom post service says Stop to corruption, the integrity has priority. A campaign with this topic was launched on the World's Anti-Corruption Day. Within the campaign, the employees of the institution from all the border passing points informed all the citizens about the effects of the bribery.
The employees' initiative was appreciated by the drivers:
"I pass the Moldovan border very often and I have never had problems. Moreover, I stayed more at the Romanian border than at the Moldovan one. I have never had problems."
"I think this is a good initiative. The bribery affects the economy and everything."
The campaign was appreciated by the visitors of our country too.
"I think that is a very good campaign. Today is the Word's Anti-Corruption Day. We are waiting for you in Romania with the same initiative."
According to the custom post officers, the economy agents get involved in the majority of bribery actions that happen.
The general director of the Custom Post service, Vitalie Vrabie says that in the past two years, the institution registered many measures for fighting against bribery.
"We fired many inspectors, over a hundred. Other 90 persons were detained on ten penal cases. This means, the bribery is constant", said Vitalie Vrabie, general director of Custom Post service.
Rosario de Blasio, Adviser of the European Union in the Custom post sphere said the Moldovan Custom Post registered big progresses in this sphere, this year.
"The salaries increased, which is very important. The checking procedures were simplified. With all these, our country registered many progresses and those will continue", said Rosario de Blasio.
