Vice president of Disabled People Association investigated for bribery
The Vice President of the Association of Disabled People is investigated by the CNA for bribery. The woman was denounced by a capital resident who claimed that Association's deputy chairman requested holders of different degrees of disability half of money allocated as material aid.
Since 2006, the Deputy Chairman of the Disabled Association asked for 50 percent of annual allowance as gratitude for listing that person.
Again the vice-president requested to give her 1500 out of 3000 lei for the International Day of Disabled People organized on December 3.
On December 11, the transfer took place at the suspect's home, and after the search, she returned the money to the CNA officers.
The suspect was escorted to the CNA for hearing, and later released with restriction of not leaving the hometown.
If she is guilty, the woman risks up to seven years in prison or a fine of up to 217 500 lei.
