December 16 could be a national mourning day in memory of King Michael of Romania. A move to this effect will be made today by Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker, to the country's president, Igor Dodon.

"Today I will address President Dodon to declare the Day of National Mourning on December 16 - to preserve the tradition left by President Timofti, but also taking into account the history of the Royal Family. This day might be the national mourning day. I hope President Dodon will accept this proposal and will proceed this day on Saturday,"said Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker.
