Combating illicit work! Day laborers will be officially employed
Day workers will have the chance to be officially employed. The new law project, which foresees the activity of day laborers, was voted in the second reading. The document, forwarded by Ministry of Labor, is meant to combat illicit work.
Therefore, day workers will have the possibility to sign contracts with their employers for a period of three months.
During this time, they must not work more than eight hours per day, while throughout the year, the can be employed under the same person only for three months.
Those who offer day labor will be paid daily or weekly, depending on their agreement with the employer.
Those who wish to hire day workers will have to keep track of their work days and send the data to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate.
Such law exists for some time even in Romania.
