Igor Dodon repeatedly rejected candidatures of ministers submitted by Government
President Igor Dodon has repeatedly rejected the candidatures proposed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip for the functions of ministers. We talk about five new ministers and two deputy prime ministers. Among them are Iurie Leanca, Alexandru Tanase and Chiril Gaburici.
The head of state wrote on his Facebook page that some of the people proposed showed inconsistency, lack of professionalism and opportunism in the positions they had previously held.
Dodon also believes that the government will not be depolitized following the appointment of new ministers.
According to the Constitution, the president may reject the candidatures only once, and if the prime minister repeats them, he is obliged to sign the decrees.
Another similar situation happened when Igor Dodon refused to accept Eugen Sturza's candidacy for the position of Minister of Defense, then the Government addressed the Constitutional Court to clarify the situation.
Magistrates have decided that the president is incapable of performing his temporary duties and that the order of appointment of Sturza was signed by Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker.
