Border officers from Sculeni crossing points, along with customs inspectors have discovered 9 000 cigarettes hidden in a car.

A 28-year-old man, who had Republic of Moldova's citizenship attempted to smuggle to Romania the goods, by hiding them in the car's roof.

The man was fined with 10 000 Romanian lei.
