Iurie Leancă met with European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis
Recent developments registered in Republic of Moldova in the implementation of the Association Agreement in the area of Food Safety and Public Health were discussed in Brussels, during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leancă and European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis.
With this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Leancă has restated Moldova's obligations to bring progresses in the chapter of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, underlining the necessity of a more efficient coordination between local and European authorities.
Iurie Leancă has also informed that respecting all terms and gaining the right to export meat to European Union presents a priority for Republic of Moldova's authorities.
In his turn, Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis has assured that European Union supports Republic of Moldova and encouraged reform implementation.
