Child benefit has increased by 345 lei and now amounts to 5 645 lei. The decision was taken during today's meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The new indemnity will be offered for children born after January 1. For this purpose, State Budget for 2018 offered nearly 198.2 million lei.

This measure is part of Government's aim to promote proactive politics and support families with children, as well as ensure necessary conditions for rising and educating children within the family environment.
