Goods produced in Free Economic Zones grew by 600 million lei, up 10% year on year
The value of goods produced in the Free Economic Zones grew last year by 600 million lei, up almost 10 percent compared to 2016.
According to the data of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, most goods were exported and accounted for 10% of the total amount of Moldovan exports.
In 2017, investment in the seven free economic areas was $115 million. Currently, there are over 12,000 employees in these areas and authorities say that the number will double over the next two years. That's because they expect investments of over 280 million dollars.
