27 of 32 municipal subdivisions will remain after reorganization of five departments of the Chisinau City Hall. 

The authorities approved today the optimization of following subdivisions: the Socio-ecological direction was absorbed by the Housing-Communal direction; the Agriculture Department will be active within the Economy Department; the General Directorate of Social Protection has absorbed the Health Directorate and the General Direction of the Municipal Social Protection Fund; Culture will be active in the Education, Youth and Sport Directorate.

27 councilors voted the decision while the liberals who seemed indignant with the optimization of the Health Division were against the approval. 

The municipality says that the change will streamline the activity in the City Hall's executive which will save money and citizens' time. 

Later, authority officials will need to vote for the reorganization of directorates. 

However, the City Hall representatives declared that most of the employees will remain in the new directorates as the function of subdivisions will remain.
