Parliament ratified the military collaboration agreement between Republic of Moldova and Azerbaijan, singed in Chisinau, on 24 April 2017 and in Baku, on 12 June 2017.
The document, supported by 52 deputies present at the meeting, focuses on cooperation in the field of defense and defense planning, technical-military activity, personnel training, social and cultural-sports activities in the army, joint activity within NATO's program "Partnership for Peace", as well as consultations for issues appearing in peacekeeping operations and offering humanitarian aid.
The parties will draw up a bilateral military collaboration plan, which will set various activities, aims, time limits and the place, responsible authorities, number of people and other important factors linked to the organization and unfoldment of those activities.

The agreement will come into force on the day when both Parties will announce that all the internal legal procedures necessary for it will be finalized.
The agreement is set for five years and its activity will automatically be extended for consecutive 5 years terms.
