Government approved today more amendments to law on organization and activities development of tourism in Moldova which will facilitate the activity of economic agents in the sector.

According to the project, Economy Ministry will take over the tasks of developing tourism policies and Investment Agency will handle the implementation of these ones. This new institution will be created in near future. 

In order to streamline the public services, Public Services Agency will be responsible for the registration of tourist routes, the monitoring of the tourist heritage, the classification of the tourist accommodation structures and the maintenance of their Register.

Another new announcement concerns the exclusion of the obligation of tour operators and travel agencies to submit to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure statistical and financial reports, this obligation being valid only in relation to the statistical bodies.

Also, a draft was made for the repeal of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova on the establishment of the National Center for the Improvement of the Cadres in the Tourism Industry, given the fact that this function is currently successfully accomplished by the academic mean.
