Vitalie Pîrlog requests the Parliament to begin the procedure for his resignation as head of Information and Security Service. The resignation letter was submitted yesterday.
"I wish to resign as head of Information and Security Service and continue working only with INTERPOL, to concentrate more on all the important reforms I helped initiate within the Commission for the Control of Files", is mentioned in the resignation letter.
The resignation letter is currently examined by Legal Committee for appointments and immunities.
Vitalie Pîrlog was named by the Parliament as head of Information and Security Service for five year in December 2017.
