The Government has approved that in 2018, it will offer seven scholarships worth 2 500 lei and another six scholarships (based on fields) worth 2 000 lei each, for students doing their PhD.

A total of 21 students applied for the scholarships, form six universities offering PhD. Their files were examined by five group of experts, selected based on their fields and PhD programs.

In order to increase the number of people applying for scholarships, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research suggested for them to be spread equally among six scientific fields, as well as accepting applications from part-time students and those who pay the tuition fees.
