Food safety, topic in attention of Prime Minister
The current situation in the field of food safety has been analyzed today at a working meeting held at the Government. Prime Minister Pavel Filip was informed about the controls carried out by the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) and the measures taken to prevent the non-compliant food trade.
In this context, the prime minister emphasized that the observance of consumer interests in food quality remains a Government priority, ANSA is considered as the authority responsible for monitoring the situation on this segment.
The prime minister stressed the importance of continuing product quality checks in commercial networks, but also of planning additional measures to protect consumers.
It also highlighted the need to maintain a permanent interaction between citizens and ANSA to facilitate the reporting of violations.
"Connection with citizens is very important. Entering the shops, people expect to see the ANSA's care for their health", concluded the Prime Minister.
