Foreign Minister Tudor Ulianovschi presented to the United Nations a joint statement from Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The authors of the document call for more involvement from the international community to protect people living in conflict-affected areas.

The head of the Chisinau diplomacy participates in the 37th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, which is held in Geneva, Switzerland. In his speech, Ulianovschi mentioned that the protection of human rights is one of the priorities of the government in Chisinau.

"Moldova will continue to promote human rights initiatives in talks on the death penalty and on the rights of young people and children. We will continue the battle to end violence against women and discrimination and promote the freedom of speech", said Tudor Ulianovschi.

The head of the Chisinau diplomacy, on this occasion, thanked the UN for its support in the process of reforming the judicial system. 

Tudor Ulianovschi also had a bilateral meeting with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights with whom the Moldovan official discussed the adoption of national plan for Promotion of Human Rights in 2018 - 2022 made by Chisinau Government.
