EU will continue supporting the consolidation of relations between the Government and civil society
The possibility to improve the interaction of authorities with civil society was discussed today within a meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip with EU senior adviser for the Government's relationship with civil society, Ancuța Vameșu.
Pavel Filip highlighted the importance of open and efficient cooperation with civil society, it being a priority of the current Government since the beginning of its mandate. Here, Prime Minister spoke of the broad participation tools of civil society in decision-making, being mentioned the creation of National Participation Council (NPC), the functional platform particip.gov.md, as well as national Councils specialized in various fields, with a large implication of the civil society representatives. Soon will also be approved the law on activity of NGOs.
In his turn, the EU senior adviser appreciated the actions taken to consolidate the relations with civil society and to ensure its support.
"Civil Society must be seen in the large sense, not only NGOs activating the area of good governance and law, but also in other sectors - economy, industry, agriculture- causing stronger relations with civil society", Ancuța Vameșu said.
Priorities for the next period of time is making the activity of NPC more dynamic and elaborating common priorities of the Government - NPC, making all platforms for participation more efficient and consulting civil society in the process of public policies, as well as identifying new interaction mechanisms.
