Republic of Moldova is interested in strengthening bilateral relations in politics, commerce - economy, culture etc. with Israel, both the existing ones, as well as identify new opportunities. The declaration was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, during a meeting with Ambassador Agréé of the State of Israel, Eliyahu Yerushalmi.

Here, Minister Ulianovschi greeted the fact that the relations between Moldova and Israel became more dynamic over the past few years, especially in 2017, when multiple bilateral reunions were organized, including the visit of Prime Minister of Republic of Moldova to Israel, political consultations, Moldovan Culture Day, etc.

"We are interested in organizing more Moldova - Israel economic forums, with the implication of representatives from the business environment of the two countries and to reiterate the importance of businessmen from Israel to participate in economic events unfolded in Republic of Moldova" the Moldovan official said.

Tudor Ulianovschi and Eliyahu Yerushalmi have agreed to continue the Moldova - Israel cooperation in the area of extending bilateral legal framework, reiterating the willingness to relaunch negotiations on some important bilateral agreements that will improve the well-being of citizens from both states, combat human trafficking, social security etc.

Minister Ulianovschi accentuated that the Social Security Agreement is an important document for citizens of Republic of Moldova who are working in Israel, as it offers them social protection for when they retire, as well as in case of workplace accidents, or appearance of occupational disease.

During the talks, Tudor Ulianovschi offered the organization of Israel Culture Day in Republic of Moldova and other events to promote cultural exchange between the two countries, invoking the interest of travel agencies in participating at the IMTM: International Tourism Exhibition, which will take place at the beginning of 2019.

Ambassador of the State of Israel Eliyahu Yerushalmi invited last year Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, to Israel, who accepted the invitation.
