Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu revolted on social network after newspaper Ziarul de Garda (ZDG) manipulated unfounded news about the Arena video project.

The official stressed that at the press conference, the Democratic Party of Moldova specified that the video is an illustration taken from the public space so that citizens can imagine how a multi-functional arena works.

"The newspaper Ziarul de Gardă is manipulating again. It's the issue how fairly this newspapers informs public, but we will report the manipulations when necessary.

"In the press conference, I said very clearly that the video was an illustration taken from the public space so that citizens can see and understand how multi-functional arena works: what is telescopic platforms, how an arena for sporting events can turn into, in a few hours, a space for organizing concerts, exhibitions, etc.

"Nowhere and never have I said that this is the architectural design, the arena's design, as the way Ziarul de Garda informed manipulatively. 

"They spoke what they wanted to obtain the answer they expected to make a denigrating material.

"There are still other manipulations. 

"Maybe ZDG also initiates a referendum to cancel the Arena building project? It's trendy.

"The fact that ZGD newspaper strongly promotes the project is also a positive thing, even it does it negatively.

"Moreover, the citizens will be convinced that these attacks were manipulations, and in reality they can enjoy the opportunities offered by the Chisinau Arena, which ZDG journalists along with their families will happily visit", said Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu on social network.

PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the Democratic Party of Moldova is launching the first Public-Private Partnership project to attract investments to build an ultra-modern multi-purpose arena in Chisinau, which, as estimated by the Government experts, will be completed in a year.
