In order to increase social protection of war veterans, the Government has approved today the establishment of National Council of War Veteran, its components and regulations.
The new structure will be a consultative body coordinating national policies on social protection of war veterans, monitoring the activity of authorities from this field and host, along with non-governmental organizations, programs to promote the interests of war veterans.
The council will also include representatives of central and local public authorities, as well as of public organizations, whose activities include the problems war veterans encounter.
In Republic of Moldova live over 37 000 war veterans.
