Interim Mayor of the Capital, Silvia Radu has dismissed today head of Healthcare Department, Mihai Moldovanu. The official was displeased by the multiple complaints of people, as well as the illegalities found in health system.

"I have today released the head of Healthcare Department, Mihai Moldovanu from his duties. 

I have seen everything that happens in the healthcare. The situation is unacceptable. Everyday citizens complain, which all points to major flaws. I have also received numerous complaints from doctors, who are pushed by their hospital's administration to perform illegal acts.

I have personally conducted an inspection and saw disorder. Sometimes when wards are repaired, pretty pictures are taken, but once the press leaves, everything is back to how it used to be. There are even times when doctors collect money for some repair works. This is not management, but plain theft, blackmail and lies. It causes sufferings to patients and then to doctors, who leave the system.

Therefore, I consider that spring cleaning should not be only done around the City, but also within the public administration that need to be rid of corruption and irresponsible people" Silvia Radu wrote on social media.
