A former Patrol Officer was arrested for influence peddling. According to the investigation, he promised to a few people assistance in passing the driving test and gaining a driver's license, declaring to have influence over the commission.

For such services, the man requested 1 400 Euro.

After searches, in the suspect's home were found the IDs of people who reported the crime.

During questioning, the former officer confessed and decided to cooperate with the investigation.

If found guilty, the man risks to spend the next 6 years behind bars, or to pay a fine to 200 000 lei.
