Bălţi Electoral Commission begun collecting documents of people who wish to run for Mayor. The application period ends on April 19.
"Starting April 5, from 9:00 to 17:00, people will be able to apply to run for Mayor of Bălti" vice president of Bălti Electoral Commission, Iulian Paciurca declared.
To this point, Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova and National Unity Party announced that they will forward candidates that will participate at the elections set for May 20.
Bălți remained without a Mayor after a few months ago, fugitive Renato Usatîi resigned.
Usatîi's decision came after the waste crisis appeared in the city.
Afterward, many deputies from the City Hall have also resigned.
