Health Award 2018. Best doctors, hospital directors, journalists and NGOs were rewarded
The best doctors, hospital directors, journalists and NGOs were rewarded within the Health Award 2018. The biggest prize was offered for "The whole medical career", won by 90-year-old Eugeniu Maloman, who was a surgeon his whole life.
"A doctor's duty lasts for a lifetime. Each surgeon must know the words passed down from Roman and Greek orators: impavidi progrediamur" Eugeniu Maloman said.
The best emergency team was named the cardiology group from the Emergency Care Institute.
"The hardest time is receiving the call and reaching the destination. We always expect the worst, in order to not miss a thing" emergency physician, Parascovia Maleţchi explained.
"I only have 5-7 minutes to safely reach the destination" ambulance driver, Ioachim Martolog said.
The best general practitioners were named doctors from Chișcăreni village, Sângerei district. They take care of over 3 000 people.
"We promise to be even closer to the people we are responsible for and improve the offered services" general practitioner Elena Cărăuş said.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip declared that everything will be done to make medicine more attractive, while patients to receive best treatments.
"To offer quality services. Secondly, to ensure good work conditions and comfort, as well as offer a salary doctors truly deserve" Prime Minister mentioned.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Svetlana Cebotari, expressed her gratitude to all doctors for their work and dedication: "Our health system has people that despite all the hardships, proudly wear a white coat. I bow to all of you and thank you for your work and dedication."
The best journalist who wrote of the health system, was named Canal 3's reporter Irina Lencăuțan.
"I worked while pregnant, went to the field, promoted our health system and probably this is what the doctors and the ministry liked" Irina Lencăuțan said.
The Health Award reached its 5th edition.
