Moldova and Switzerland to strengthen bilateral cooperation
The cooperation between Moldova and Switzerland for 2018 - 2021, was discussed today, April 18, by Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc, during a meeting with a delegation from Switzerland, led by Krystyna Marty Lang, deputy state secretary and deputy head of the Directorate of Political Affairs.
The officials spoke of cooperation prospects in education, culture and research between the two countries, concentrating on developing educational policies on forming and evaluating social and civil competences in general education, standardizing and institutionalizing the Education for Democratic Citizenship concepts, teaching assurance of the process of developing civic and social skills in general education; making initial and in-service teacher education more effectiveness in developing and assessing civic competences; developing and institutionalizing democratic mechanisms for student participation in decision-making and assuming responsibilities etc.
Minister Monica Babuc expressed her gratitude to the Government of Switzerland for the constant support offered to Republic of Moldova, especially the renovation project of 3 professional educational institutions by the Caritas Moldova Foundation during 2011 - 2013.
In their turn, Swiss officials expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education, culture and research by organizing joint projects, meant to develop the education system from Republic of Moldova.
Publika reminds that today, in the National Palace, at 11:00, the Switzerland - Moldova cooperation strategy for 2018 - 2021 was launched, according to which our country will receive a technical assistance of 50.9 million Swiss franc, for the implementation of various projects in the field of health, drinking water, migration, development etc.
