For over two decades now the Artillery Division and the Transmission Battalion from Ungheni has been defending the country. During the event, officers demonstrated hand to hand combat.

Soldiers claim that they are proud to serve their country:

"Everyday my heart swells with pride. The Artillery Division and the Transmission Battalion from Ungheni is participating in many national and international missions."

"In 1992 on this platform the first soldiers were sworn in, to defend the territorial integrity of Republic of Moldova." 

Commander of the Army claims that the officers have proven their dedication and wishes for a standing army.

"Taking into consideration that we are in 2018, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova is developing, much is now requested of us" Commander Igor Cutie said.

Relatives and friends could admire an exhibition of military equipment and weapons, while the city's dancers have put on a show.

The most excited were children:

"I love the fight."

"It was very interesting. I am glad that I came to see everything."

During the ceremony, a group of soldiers received diplomas. The Artillery Division was established in April 1992.
