Remarkable events in Moldova this week
A series of political, economic and social events have marked in Moldova.
The problem of farmers in Dubasari district was solved. The access to their land was ensured by the efforts made by the Government in the negotiations with Tiraspol. The lands can be worked from 1 August on the basis of special certificates.
Another success in the negotiations between Chisinau and Tiraspol was the identification of the license plates for cars in the Transnistrian region. Once registered by the Public Services Agency, like the rest of the vehicles, these cars will also be able to circulate outside the country.
Also this week, the Government decided to allocate more than 15 million lei for reintegration actions. The money will go for the repair of schools, kindergartens, cultural houses and 10 aqueducts.
Good news does not stop here. From the beginning of May, the minimum wage in the real sector will increase by about 10 percent and will reach 2,610 lei.
This week's ministerial cabinet meeting also examined the project, which foresees a 5 percent increase in student scholarships. This increase will benefit students from vocational schools, master and doctoral students and resident doctors.
On Friday, Government Decision on the public-private partnership for the Arena Chisinau project was published in the Official Gazette. Thus, the Ministry of Education has one month to organize and run the private partner selection contest. The duration of the contract will be at least 10 years, after which the arena will be transferred free of charge to state ownership.
