Republic of Moldova is ready to offer its services and be the 28th in the European Union. The declaration was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, when European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Crețu mentioned her regret that Great Britain decided to exit EU.
"It is for the first time when a state wishes to exit EU, which is regretfully, but a decision we respect. It is the second biggest contributor to the EU budget. Exiting EU, we must reorganize to be able to move forward with 27 member states" Corina Creţu said.
Be it as a joke, or not, Prime Minister made a suggestion to the European Commissioner for Regional Policy.
"Madam Creţu was speaking of the decision of a member state to regretfully exit EU. Namely we speak of Brexit, but we are prepared to offer our services and become the 28th member state of EU. We cannot promise to have the same contribution as Great Britain, but we will be consumers" Pavel Filip mentioned.
