Deputy Prime Minister, Iurie Leanca met with European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Crețu
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Iurie Leanca and European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Crețu spoke of the main aims within the existing dialogue between Republic of Moldova and European Union.
"The complementarity of EU's regional cooperation initiatives key elements, opened by the participation of Republic of Moldova with the commitments taken within the EU Association Agreement implementation, generates new opportunities to advance on the European track in which we are fully engaged," Iurie Leanca said.
Here, the possibility of extending the regional cooperation programs with the EU, including cross-border ones for restoring the transport infrastructure, especially bridges located over Prut, were discussed.
The officials also spoke of perspectives of EU multiannual financial framework, whose project is being elaborated, to offer new opportunities for Republic of Moldova to implement good EU practices, on reducing disparities between regions, urban development, as well as other fields such as education.
